Welcome to JKL Custom Cabinets. My name is Ken and I produce and install high quality, hand built cabinets in a wide variety of designs at an affordable price. I work alongside my wife, Liz, who works in the background bringing design skills and taking care of the "business" side. This is not just a business or a job. It is my passion and I put my heart into this because I love what I do and I'm good at it. My cabinets are custom built but the bonus is that the pricing is situated between "off the shelf" cabinets and custom cabinets.

Cabinet boxes are made of 3/4 inch Birch Plywood (not particle board) and the interior can be either clear coated or painted, depending on preference. Boxes are screwed together, as well as stapled, and no dowel pins are used. This ensures very long lasting strength and durability. Cabinet Boxes are constructed either in the European/Frameless style or can be made with Face Frames depending on preference.

Painted doors are made of HDF (High Density Fiberboard) which is more stable and better quality than MDF. It will not expand, contract or warp. We can paint your cabinets any colour you like but check out our Design and Colours Page for some of the popular choices. Shaker Style doors come in a variety of profiles, and Flat Panel doors are available. We also offer natural wood variations as well, such as Rift Sawn White Oak.

Non-solvent paints are used for a low enviromental impact, resulting in a very hard and durable finish.

This unit provides a stable and noiseless motion for a lifetime of use. With a strong supporting base and two level chrome wire baskets, it provides storage for kitchen goods of all kinds.

Recycle Bin Pullout

Side-mounted waste system with bins for separation by type. European slide is full extension soft close and load capacity of 50 kg.

Lazy Susan

The Lazy Susan's two levels of rotating shelves utilize all the unused space in your corner cabinet. Lazy Susans are available in wire , wood or plastic trays.

"I have worked with Ken for many years. I have found him to be reliable, knowledgeable and an excellent problem solver. Originally Ken did some updates to my house; however, I recently decided to sell my house. It was dated and the combination main bathroom and laundry room was not functional nor aesthetically pleasing. Ken understood my need to keep as much of the original footprint as possible and redesigned the problematic laundry area. He also reversed a closet from the adjoining bedroom to create a spacious storage and linen closet, a new closet for stackable laundry/dryer and as well as built two Custom Vanities. Ken is truly an artist. He's an exceptional craftsperson with an extraordinary eye for design details and often made suggestions to material choices and finishes.
